Can we get a raise of hands from those who are also desperately trying to stick fast to their new year’s resolutions? It’s like our memory goes perpetually out the window every time we try to accomplish our yearly goals. Exhibit A: We swore we’d become one of those people who get up early and start their day with a gross green beverage of sorts and run. Heck, we even got the shoes! They were not cheap. For some reason, it just ain’t happening.
Our excuse? The same one we had last year. We’re tired. Emotionally, mentally and physically exhausted. Someone recommended therapy and we were like ‘Huh? What does that have to do with anything?’ — but we had nothing to lose, so we tried it out. And now We’Re A wHoLe nEw PeRsOn GuYs! Did you read that in the voice we intended you to? Anyways, we’re not exactly fixed, but we are much less of a walking red flag than we were in the past, that’s for sure.
So in conclusion, 10/10 would recommend. It’s terrifying, of course, but it’s also received a few nods of approval from dates when we tell them we’re ‘working on ourselves’. Apparently, people like it. Our wallet certainly doesn’t, but hey, new year new me, and all that… Plus you get to complain about your life for an hour to a person who isn’t allowed to put on a judgy face. So, bonus.
